Health Department Seeking Contractors to Educate Local Youth on Health Risks of Nicotine and Tobacco Products

LEONARDTOWN, MD (December 8, 2014) – The St. Mary’s County Health Department is seeking contractors to educate local youth on the health risks of nicotine and tobacco products. Use of tobacco and exposure to second hand smoke are the leading preventable causes of death in the United States. Funds for this award are from the Cigarette Restitution Fund which is administered through Prevention and Health Promotion Administration within the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
